Speed Limit of Linear Induction Motor Subway Trains Running through 65 m Radius Curves on Yard Line

Linear induction motor (LIM) subway yard line often have very-small-radius curves and small turnouts with “S”-shaped in the middle. The lateral stability of train is low, wheel-climb (slipway) derailments occur at a speed 10 km/h. To study derailment safety limit linear running through line, coupling dynamic model train-track system established, fully considering driving characteristics motor, train, track structure. judged by over-limit time coefficient. Under premise safe operation, variations coefficient, out-of-limit time, wheel unloading rate, wheel-axle force are studied. When runs speeds below 25 km/h, for both new worn rails, coefficient axle each exceed limits, less affected changes speed. duration within because crossing curve thus will not overturn derail. Rail wear reduces while improves line. Considering actual state (wheel-rail wear, irregularity, etc.), should be limited to 15
